Doing a fashion photo shoot with international model Amélie Tremblay is always a great moment of pleasure and creativity for me.

When my great friend Amélie tells me that she is in town for a few days. I immediately invite him to come take a look at my photo studio in Montreal. It’s a time for us to share some laughs and discuss our professional lives and careers.

Both of us, what we like most is creating !!

A few days before Amélie arrives at my studio, I take out my bin filled with fabrics (which I call my Ali Baba’s cave) and I select a fabric that will make the perfect dress for the photo shoot we imagined.

As a professional photographer, this is a moment for me when I completely let creativity take hold of me.

So I take out my sewing machine and I make a dress adjusted to the measurements of the mannequin. I was inspired by the haute couture shows that I watch with great passion.

With a scissor stroke, I cut a few pieces of decorative fabrics that I sew by hand on the dress. This adds more texture to the garment and gives a much more interesting visual appearance in the photos.

The day Amélie arrives at my studio, I present her her custom-made dress, and I start to prepare her for the photo shoot.

I often say that in addition to being a professional fashion photographer, I am also a multidisciplinary artist. For me, photography is a way to express my creative ideas. 

That day, we did an editorial photo shoot and an artistic video shoot.
